@allhailjtodd And it is a Seattle problem. If the surrounding cities could vote on Seattle policies/policy makers, then it would be a fair. But at the end of the day the other cities take on the burden of Seattle problems.
@allhailjtodd There are programs available to help mentally ill people. These are available at shelters, the hotels, etc. When 911 responds to calls to homeless, they try to help them get enrolled. There are investments made there but people need to take advantage of them.
@allhailjtodd It is a burden. Increase in 911 calls to the area have grown since April. Nobody is providing additional funding to the uptick in crime. The hotel had a fire started by someone living there. The homeless problem has existed since before COVID. It's a Seattle problem.
