It has been another great year in the Good Library, with 12,612 physical books circulated and 122,026 e-books checkout out! We had two special visitors this six weeks: the author of the 8 HOLA LOLA! books and a little robot who sang!
Keka Novales, author of the 8-book Hola Lola! series, came to visit our 2nd and 3rd grade students at Good today! Now, we all want to keep a journal of great ideas. Which of our Tigers will write their own books someday?
One of the highlights of the 5th 6 weeks was making butterfly bookmarks. Thank you Novel Effect and Erica White! They turned out so pretty, and the students loved making them fly in their library books. :)
We read about snow, made paper snowflakes, and then real snowflakes fell! We celebrated Valentine's Day with Mr. Hatch by creating Lego hearts! Book have enriched our winter in the Good library.

Excitement is in the air! It's book fair week at Good Elementary! Families, you are invited to do some holiday shopping for the readers on your list this Thursday evening from 5:30-6:30.
Inspired by the book, Everywhere Beauty Is Harlem, our students looked for and found beauty everywhere at Good Elementary this six weeks, especially in the "faces" of the book-character pumpkins! Our Tigers and their families are amazingly creative!
The Good Library program is off to a great start! Our students are excited about our principal's book challenge, Beanstack prizes, and becoming Library Leaders!

What do Good Tigers love to do? READ! We relished two wonderful books about wild tigers this six weeks: The Story of Little Babaji and The Tiger Without Stripes! Please see this infographic to find out about more literary, artistic, and STEM happenings in our library.
Thank you, Momentum Dance Company, for performing excerpts from The Wizard of Oz for our 4th graders! I've already had a student check out the book today, and so many of our students are eager to come watch the entire ballet in April!
During the fourth six weeks in the Good Library, our Tigers have fallen more in love with books. They have also coded Indi Cars, learned to be detectives on the Internet, and participated in reading incentives like Beanstack!
It was an exciting 3rd six weeks at the Good Elementary Library . . . full of coding activities, a book fair, and beautiful gingerbread houses decorated by our students and their families!

We're thankful for coding at Good Elementary! Last week, 2nd graders moved Ozobots over the river and through the woods to get to Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving.
