Why do you promise that which you will not do?
It is most hateful in the sight of ALLAH that you say that which you will not do.
~ Quran 61: Verse 2&3
Be actively involved in seeking for more goodness of life, stay diligent in minding what you have control over.
Be conscious of not involving yourself in anything that will hurt others, lead peaceful life.
You will realize that there are more reasons to be a grateful human.
If you were to count your blessings, you would never be able to finish counting.
Be GRATEFUL, for your challenges are far lesser than your BLESSINGS.
Stop lamenting over the blessings that you have not gotten, keep being grateful for the calamities that haven't befall you.
While in Makkah, I fell ill.
I was given paracetamol, our regular Nigerian brand. Nothing changed. In fact, it felt as though my condition was getting worse. Thinking it might have been one particular manufacturer, I tried another Nigerian brand. The result was the same.
I am not someone who takes medications casually. I rarely use drugs except when genuinely necessary, so I know how my body usually responds to basic medications such as paracetamol.
As we approached the end of our pilgrimage, I still had my Farewell Tawāf to perform. Feeling weak and concerned, I requested our dear Shaykh, Mansur B. Kareem, to please get me a Saudi brand of paracetamol or anything similar. The very first dose brought a relief that was difficult to ignore. Within a short time, it felt as though the burden of the illness had been lifted from me.
The experience reminded me of an incident from last year. A pilgrim who travelled with us was detained for over an hour because he was carrying a Nigerian-made Vitamin C supplement. Saudi officials found it difficult to believe that the product was indeed Vitamin C. They conducted several tests before eventually releasing him. Throughout the process, he kept explaining that the product had been purchased from one of the largest and most reputable pharmacies in Nigeria.
I am not a scientist, pharmacist, or laboratory analyst. Therefore, I cannot make any definitive claims regarding the medicines involved. There may be explanations that experts can provide. However, as an ordinary citizen and consumer, these experiences raise questions that deserve serious attention.
Millions of Nigerians rely daily on medications purchased from local pharmacies. They trust that the medicines they buy contain what they claim, are stored properly, and will perform as expected when needed. That trust is too important to be taken for granted.
Beyond business and profit, healthcare is about human lives. Every tablet, capsule, syrup, or injection may represent someone's hope for recovery, relief, or survival. There is no profit greater than safeguarding the health and wellbeing of people.
I therefore appeal to @NafdacAgency and all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry to intensify efforts toward quality control, routine inspections, anti-counterfeit measures, and public confidence building. Nigerians deserve medicines they can trust without fear or doubt.
May Allah protect us, grant healing to the sick, and bless all those who work sincerely to safeguard public health. Āmīn.
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
@Realoilsheikh Infact, any southerner during this Tinubu era or any era that is caught to have stolen people's wealth should be crucified and stone to death as punishment.
The way people ignore HARAM when it comes to stealing public fund makes you question the sincerity of our faith as Muslims. It is not a contest, as to whom loots more. The fact that others are looting doesn't justify you to do the same. HARAM isn't only on alcohol, pork chops, adultery & fornication, homosexuality & others, because that public fund you loot is HARAM, likely more dangerous than sinning between you and God, because when you sin directly to God, He is more likely to forgive you than when you steal public funds meant for the people.
Sheedah does not mean difficulty.
Reedah does not mean apostasy
Teemah does not mean catastrophe
Teefah does not mean ghost
Seerah in Baseerah (wrongly spelt though) and Sīrah (story) are not the same thing.
It's alright to discourage some abbreviations but it's not Ḥarām to shorten names if the meanings are destroyed. Also, to make this kind of correction, please ensure that you already got everything correctly. The information you posted contains too much error.
Imagine not seeing light in weeks to power all these😔
I’m tired of spending 5k on fuel that only lasts 3hrs daily. Not all of us have celebrity clients that pay in millions.
At this point I need to generate my own power😌 with an estimated cost of 5.7m for a 6.2kva inverter, lithium batteries and panels.
Abeg if you have 5million that you’re not using and don’t mind helping a small business grow, I have a well structured payment plan that ensures full refund in 10months at 500k a month m, if God spares my life. Willing to sign an undertaking and all necessary documents.
I honestly need an interest free loan at this point to break even. So many unfinished orders.
INEC Welcomes New National Commissioner, Reaffirms Commitment to 2027 General Election Preparations
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally received a newly appointed National Commissioner, Rear Admiral Jamila Abubakar Sadiq Manafa (rtd.), MNI, OFR, following her swearing-in by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, described the appointment as both timely and strategic, noting that it comes at a critical period in the Commission’s electoral calendar.
He stated that the appointment restores full representation for the North-East geopolitical zone after over a year of vacancy, thereby enhancing the Commission’s decision-making capacity as it intensifies preparations for forthcoming electoral activities.
The Chairman further highlighted the Commissioner’s extensive experience spanning legal practice, military service, and logistics management, emphasizing that her expertise will add significant value to electoral planning, security coordination, and the management of electoral disputes.
Prof. Amupitan reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to its constitutional mandate, stressing that INEC remains focused and undeterred despite emerging challenges. He noted that preparations are ongoing for a series of electoral engagements, including by-elections and other scheduled polls ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to him, these off-cycle elections will serve as important benchmarks in assessing and strengthening the Commission’s operational readiness for the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for January 2027, as well as the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in February 2027.
The Chairman urged the new National Commissioner to actively participate in the Commission’s activities, collaborate with colleagues, and draw on the wealth of institutional experience within INEC to support the successful delivery of credible, transparent, and inclusive elections in Nigeria.
This is not Sharia and Sharī'ah or Islam has absolutely nothing to do with this.
Please, don't make false claim. Whoever committed that atrocious evil against the child is an evil scourge that should be punished most severely. This evil has nothing to do with Islam.
Please, don't make claims without full knowledge unless your intention from the outset is to spread lies, hatred and enmity against Muslims.
@olajumokeokenla This is deep, a whole lot of young men would messed that particular night up for you and would have in return jeopardized their chance at making it bigger in life.
Deep lessons abound in this story.
Hello Lola, I am a Muslim, and our spiritual tradition has a very deep approach to raising children. I want to share some tips from our scholars that will be beneficial to you regardless of your faith.
First of all, our theology teaches the concept of Fitrah. This means that every child is born with a pure heart. At six years old, she is not a criminal mastermind. She does not have a wicked soul.
If she doesn’t have all these, then what is happening? The truth is that she is just lacking impulse control and testing boundaries. By this, if you look at her as a manipulator, you will fight her. However, if you look at her as a pure soul making mistakes, you will be able to guide her.
Secondly, for every problem anyone faces today, it has been solved in history. The only problem is how to locate them.
A classical scholar named Al-Ghazali wrote about child psychology over 900 years ago in his famous book “Ihya Ulum al-Din.” In his section on disciplining children, he gave a practical rule I want you to adopt going forward.
He advised that parents should never push a child into a corner where they are forced to lie. When you ask a question you already know the answer to, her survival instinct kicks in. She cries and she lies to defend herself because she is scared of you. Stop interrogating her. Just look at her and state the fact. Say, I know you took this, and we are going to return it right now.
Again, another scholar and sociologist Ibn Khaldun addressed this exact behavior in his masterpiece titled: “Al-Muqaddimah.” He warned that when a child is raised with harsh punishment, they learn deceit, trickery, and lying to protect themselves. This is why she is covering her tracks and crying to manipulate you. The fear of a harsh reaction is making her a better liar.
Lola, do not attach a label to her. Do not ever call her a thief. If you attack her identity instead of her action, she will internalize it and grow into that dark label. Tell her the action is wrong but protect her dignity.
Make her return the item. Do not fall for the tears. Hold her hand, walk her back to wherever she took it from, and make her hand it back and apologize. The discomfort of returning a stolen item teaches a much better lesson than beating her will ever do.
Finally, I don’t know if you are a Muslim, but never underestimate the power of your own words. In our faith, we believe the prayer of a parent for a child goes straight to God without any barrier. Pray over her. Pray for her heart to be content and for her character to be straight.
Keep doing this consistently and the habit will break.
Allah knows best.
