While everyone is justifiably focusing on the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska I would like to remind you of the story of Cannon Hinnant, a 5-year-old boy who was murdered in cold blood
He was killed by his neighbor, a black man named Darius Sessoms for the crime of riding up to him on his bicycle
Sessoms would later claim that he shot Cannon because he called him "the n-word" an obvious lie that was somehow supposed to justify this horrific violence
And the amazing thing is it worked on Cannon's mother who felt compelled to run out and ensure the public that her son was not racist
Her son was dead from the bullet of an unhinged maniac, but her first concern was to assure everyone that Cannon had not committed blasphemy
We have a massively disproportionate rate of interracial crime in the United States, but we are all too terrified to discuss it because it is considered blasphemy
This must end, because the next Iryna or Cannon will come, and their blood will be on our hands due to our silence
@ESYudkowsky This and bankless are your best imo. All of them are great, but these two stand out as normie friendly. I originally believed in doom because of nick land, but the bankless one made it very real for me.
@0x49fa98 "Everyone has a system prompt." That reminds me of when you encounter a situation that happened to you in the past, but you don't remember it. Usually, you end up saying or reacting in the same exact way, and if you catch yourself, it gives you an odd feeling...
@robertskmiles Teaching a new player how to speedrun a game. (I believe this is still not doable by current models because I've tried as recently as maybe 6 months ago, but that may have changed since then. When I initially attempted this, it gave me a route that could never finish the game.
