Class 4 enjoyed our first session in our Science partnership with Windermere School today.

The children loved finding out how we can observe reactions and discovering how our eyes work and are structured.

Class 4 thoroughly enjoyed the finance workshop delivered by Future Jam and supported by The Cumberland this morning.

The children got to budget and create a ‘party’ of their choosing which was great fun! 🌳🎈🥳🌳

A morning in our forest to finish off a very busy week.

Class 2 enjoyed taking their maths lesson outdoors today! 📏🌳 They have been learning how to measure accurately using a ruler and used these skills to measure a variety of natural objects around the school field.

Yesterday the infants planted some cress seeds as part of our science investigation. 🌱 We are exploring whether we can grow our own food ready for a picnic! We’re hoping our cress will grow in time for us to make some egg and cress sandwiches! 🥪

This morning, the infants enjoyed a lovely walk down to the Glebe in Bowness 🌿 They had a great time playing games together before enjoying a snack and a story. 📖

Forest pizzeria fun today 🍃🍕 The infants took orders, made wild garlic pizzas, and used their money skills to pay! 🌳

Class 1 and 2 enjoyed a lovely walk to Longlands Playground and had great fun playing on the new play equipment! 🌳

Class 3 enjoyed cooking chocolate orange damper bread at Forest School and making another batch using fresh garlic from the forest.

Class 4 had a fantastic day at the ‘Cool Aeronautics’ event hosted by the BAE Academy for Skills and Knowledge.

It was a brilliant STEM event that was the perfect finish to British Science Week.
