Sadly, the honorable Mr. Andrew Livingston appears to be correct on this one, Dr. Morse. To quote your original post,
“He/the Knicks got lucky the Spurs/Thunder series is going 7, giving him more time.”
This, respectfully, reflects a misunderstanding of the situation. The WCF had no impact on the amount of time Robinson or the Knicks had to rest before the start of the NBA Finals.
Thank you and God bless.
After firing Nico Estévez and Rodolfo Borrell, Austin FC is back to square one in the club’s mission to become a model MLS franchise. Where did it all go wrong? Where do we even begin: https://t.co/L1CdkjUt4w
@KaylynKyle To be fair - it was an off day and they didn't want the news to leak and us find out that way. Ownership was in the building next day to talk to players and staff in person
BREAKING: #AustinFC has parted ways with both head coach Nico Estévez AND sporting director Rodolfo Borrell, the club announced.
Seismic moment for the club, which will essentially start from scratch following the world cup break.
I was certain he’d get the chance to hire one more coach, but evidently ownership wasn’t willing to trust him with another “names you wouldn’t believe” search.
Many more thoughts coming in the Verde Report this week. (2/2)
All season long, it’s been difficult to determine how much of Austin FC’s struggles were attributed to poor coaching vs. poor roster construction.
I guess that’s the logic for moving on from both Estévez AND Borrell together. Though I’m still stunned Borrell was let go. (1/2)
Austin FC deservedly down 2-1 to last-place Sporting Kansas City at home. Meanwhile the supporters’ section is all smiles, throwing water, yelling “even louder when we’re down.”
The goal, however, is not to be.
A pretty poor first half from #AustinFC was just erased in one swing by Mikkel Desler on the volley. Completely unmarked, but still a spectacular finish with the last kick of the first half.
