This evening at 7pm ET, I'm giving a talk as part of the Online Encampment project. It's called "Three Perspectives on Disruptive Protest," and you can register here to get the Zoom link. Hope some of you can make it!

I was at this event as a guest and award nominee, so hereโs my two cents: this was brave, and it deserved respect and attention, not heckling and security guards.
South-African Canadian author Kagiso Lesego Molope was just asked to leave the Politics and the Pen event for speaking on stage about the death toll in Gaza. She was interrupted by yelling, then after, was escorted out.
This event hands out the award for best political writing.
I'm proud to share that Words on Fire: Eloquence and Its Conditions is a finalist for the C.B. Macpherson Prize for best political theory book from the Canadian Political Science Association:

I'm grateful to The Review of Politics for running a symposium on my book, Words on Fire: Eloquence and Its Conditions.
And many thanks to the colleagues who participated.
Here is the Intro, and below I'll post participants' comments and my response.
