In the past two days, hundreds of videos were taken from Sweida, Syria, where Druze and Christian civilians were massacred in the most barbaric ways by Islamists.

Babies were shot in the head, bedridden grandmas savagely killed, religious leaders tortured and had their throats slit, entire families burned alive, a hospital full of patients and staff butchered, and even worse. This was the October 7 of the Druze!

Where are all the people who claim to care about human rights? Not a single protest, not even a word of condemnation from them. Why is that?

If you’re a man,

1. Make a commitment to serve Christ first
2. Lead your family: pray for them, teach them God’s word, exemplify Christ to them, show your children what a man of God is
3. Loving your wife publicly to your children and others will bring peace and harmony to your relationship
4. Build yourself to be emotionally stable such that instead of reacting to your wife’s emotional highs and lows, you’ll be the emotional rock she needs you to be
5. Develop a core group of godly men for keeping each other accountable and supporting each other; have a mentor, mentor somebody
6. Engage with your children, win their hearts, inspire respect
7. Be a man of your word, do what you say and say what you’ll do
8. Provide the spiritual nurturing your family needs
9. Take your family to church every week
10. Defend your wife to extended family
11. Take your wife out on dates weekly or biweekly, you don’t have to spend money, make food at home, put it in a lunch box, go for a drive and eat while driving and talking; let your wife unburden and speak her mind
12. Engage your wife in meaningful and challenging conversations, ask her for advise, let her feel you value her opinion
13. Work out, get fit, and do it with her
14. If you these, you should have a fairly healthy intimate life with her
15. Don’t nag, don’t get needy, don’t complain, don’t react emotionally, stay cool, be stoic
If you bring God into your marriage and you work hard at fulfilling your role, let God take care of the rest, of what you have no control over, like your wife. Never try to control her. Not your job. Let God deal with her.
