@I_amMukhtar Why would Keir Starmer use Henry’s father’s plea as a convenient way of shutting down discussion on the subject. It smacks of grooming gangs again where you were told “dog whistling” etc
@EdwardJDavey Have you learned nothing from the grooming gang scandal. Rather than have an open discussion around a lot of people’s concerns you politicise the victims family concerns to try and shut down debate. The same was attempted about grooming gangs. Musk raised the issue then too.
@Eddystone506 Sort of coincided with the emergence of manufacturing in developing countries being cheaper as we priced ourselves out of a competitive market.
@danielanadj77 Not at all. I am a European. I’m Scottish and I’m British. I just don’t want to be governed by an ever growing bureaucracy. You confuse being European with being a member of the EU.
@RabbiRomain Why did they make the mistake? Was it through conscious or unconscious bias based on policy’s on how to deal with potentially racially aggravated incidents. To dismiss concerns is a bad as when people concerned of racial rape gangs were “right wing whistle blowers”
@LBC No. Police should not treat anyone as the “wrong un” they should establish the facts and act on those and not on the say so of one group or another.
@DamianLow3 He did! Exactly as when he accused those raising concerns on grooming gangs as being part of a “far right bandwagon”. Oh wait a minute,……..
How did that go?
@donmcgowan There is racism in the police force. And it needs addressing. The trouble is, that in trying to fix it they have adopted policies that have created a bias. The police should be unbiased and deal with facts. It needs to be discussed, not shut down as racist dog whistles.
@donmcgowan If you remember when people raised concerns on grooming gangs they were accused of being wrong and it was a “racist” dog whistle by the far right. This seems to be the default approach to criticism.
@MikeJPretzel And if we rejoined the EU the EES will still be a poor system and still cause all these problems it does. We would just not notice it as we would become part of the problem.
@MikeJPretzel I’ve been very consistent that the queues are not caused by Brexit they are caused by a poorly implemented system by a failing bureaucracy. You have diverted all over the place without facing up to the bleeding obvious!
