He is jumping into a situation and creating the contact with a player who is trying to clear the ball

@SimonBrundish @FCBziv Tielemans knew exactly what he did and you are allowed to be cynical in football but for the referee to only view the contact and not how Tielemans jumps into his path to create the contact is insanse.

The guy comes from out of nowhere and and jumps into with his left foot into the path of the defender trying to clear the ball.

If the defender saw the player before the contact I would agree.

This is sad and messed up on so many leveled…

@binkybib @Barca1804 @RafaelH117 Exactly! It’s so insane that the referee had to watch the situation 2-3 minutes and also only showed when he got fouled but didn’t show the way he leaned into the situation with his left foot.

I can’t believe what I have just witnessed.

Tielemans literally puts his body and foot into the Senegal player. Clever but very harsh. He doesn’t even see him coming from behind.

I hate those type of oentalties where players are jumping into the defenders to engage contact.

@sulkfenomeno Of course they can lose. Any team can lose but they have more stability with Saliba back there. I don’t picture a howler in the defence and Digne is solid as well. Rabiot and Tuchameni amazing balance.

And Olise in that playmaker role is a master stroke from Deschamos team

@sulkfenomeno The reason why team give up space is because France allow the opponent to have the ball and advance before they out the pressure on.

They are also very pragmatic which means they also rest much of the time without the ball and have more energy in attack.
