It sucks that the avengers films have turned into the movie equivalent of Smash Ultimate and we’ll never get them adapting any actual Avengers storylines.
btw the f4's removal from the central narrative isn't some minor complaint, it's a primary reason why this movie is destined to fail. without reed richards as the emotional tether that unravels doom into petty human frailties, without doom's own backstory, this is just some GUY
Wanting a guy who calls himself Doctor Doom who lives in Dracula's castle, refers to himself in third person constantly whose lifelong grudge can be best described as "and they were roommates" to be completely serious is crazy
@RedLReviews I feel like people don't understand that Doom is intrinsically tied to Reed and the F4
You remove that aspect from his character, and all you're left with is an empty husk that's only here to be an aura merchant
@RedLReviews Imagine if the MCU didn't want to take the time to set up Peter's relationship with Norman Osborn, so they skipped over him being the Green Goblin and put him in the Iron Patriot armor so he could be a villain for an Avengers movie
That's what they're doing with Doom right now
Oh I get WHY they’re doing it. I’d probably hit the Doom panic button too. But man, I think it’s just kinda sad that we’ve got proper Magnetos, Jokers, Luthors, even frigging Galactus and Doom is still at the “maybe the fourth time will be the one.”
(Shakes head as Doom fan) I think they’re making the classic Doom mistake: hype and aura him too much. Don’t get me wrong he’s THE guy, but taking him too seriously is a huge flaw too
Like making Doom a threatening badass techmage is the EASY part. He’s just Darth Vader but cooler. But making him the single most pitiable man in the Marvel Universe is where the money’s at
Yeah Hickman’s Doom works as a serious villain because we’ve known this guy for ages. We know what he’s sacrificed to get to the peak and now he’s here. ….we are just meeting this guy now
Marvel Rivals listens to the community until it's time to give black characters skins.
Invis has had more legendaries in 7 months than Storm, BP and Blade have had collectively in a year.
Venom’s whole thing as a villain and antihero has always been about acting out and letting loose in violent and sadistic ways using some sort of justification, and he likes it! Despite the fact that he’s a bloodthirsty murderer, he still believes he’s “on the side of the angels.”
Kevin if you can hear me for the love of god make Hulk relevant again tell a deep personal story with the character, expand his story bring in his mythos he’s one of the god damn big 3 of the 2000’s Marvel universe treat him with respect
Frank pulling our a second rocket launcher out of nowhere and laughing like a cartoon character is great, he’s already way more fun and likeable than “I’m gonna quit for the fifth time and cry.” He LOVES this job.
