For the last 6 months, I've been working on my graduate capstone paper about gender-based harassment and the systemic exclusion of women in the gaming space. I have spent so much time researching this issue and writing about my personal experiences as a content creator, and the barriers women face in this space. Without typing out my whole 30-page research paper, I just want to say that millions of women and other marginalized genders are still impacted by misogyny and targeted exclusion daily.

This is a project that I've been wanting to work on for a very long time, and I'm happy that I've been able to shed light on this issue that I, as well as many of my friends, have experienced firsthand.

Outside of streaming, I work as the Content Director of an Esports program & am a Board Member for a Marginalized Genders Esports program. Every day I see the barrier, but every day my team and I try to make a difference. Our program's goal is to uplift women, and we are successfully doing so!

In short: the gaming industry is changing for the better, but there's still a lot of work to be done. So, small reminder: support women in this space, be kind, and remember that everyone deserves to play video games, compete in esports, and create content without fear :)❤️
