The miracle that paved the way for Fulton J. Sheen’s beatification: James Engstrom, born in 2010, was stillborn after a true knot in his umbilical cord cut off his oxygen supply, but after his parents prayed for Fulton Sheen’s intercession, he began breathing again after 61 minutes without a pulse. Doctors could not medically explain his recovery, and the miracle was attributed to Sheen’s intercession. James and his family will be in St. Louis tomorrow for Sheen’s beatification.
