Franco Puleo, who owns Gotham City brothel in South Melbourne, is among the people funding the $105,000 Ditch the Witch advertising campaign.
The campaign is using misogyny to get Jacinta Allan out of power in Victoria.
I've spoken to many SWers who say Puleo is as sexist as this campaign.
Billboards are being ferried across Melbourne with Allan as a witch.
I have it on authority the campaign has the support of the Liberal Party and Liveable Victoria - an organisation focused on planning and other state issues.
The Herald Sun ran a page on the campaign in its print edition and used the slogan in the copy in the same way it uses slogans for its own campaigns. Interestingly, the Herald Sun refused to name the organisation and people behind the campaign. Possibly because the editorial department is firmly focused on securing a Liberal Party win in the state.
The Ditch the Witch campaign reflects the Liberal-aligned Ditch the Witch campaign against Julia Gillard in 2011.

The kākāpō is the world's heaviest parrot - a mossy green, owl-faced bird the size of a small dog that cannot fly, may live to 90 years, and only breeds every 2 to 4 years when New Zealand's rimu trees produce enough fruit to trigger the urge.

Rats. Cats. Stoats. Humans clearing forests. The kākāpō never evolved to outrun any of them.

By 1995, 51 birds remained. Scientists, rangers, and Ngāi Tahu - the Māori people who have always known this bird as taonga, a treasure—evacuated every last one to predator-free islands.

Each bird got a transmitter. Each nest watched around the clock.

This past February 14th, the first kākāpō chick in four years hatched. They named her Tīwhiri. By spring, 59 chicks had been born.

236 birds. Every name known. Every nest watched.

Pauline Hanson is a habitual agitator - and excels at throwing the cat in amongst the pigeons - because this is her bread and butter. Her popularity lies in how many people she can get an emotive response out of who need a good cause to get behind because they are angry at the “system” and how their life is panning out.

Ironically, Hanson is a part of that system that they hate so much - and does quite nicely out of it while telling folks that she’s in there for “the battler”. Hanson will tell you that Gina Rinehart is also in there for the battler as well - as Gina buys Hanson a private plane and donates millions via 3rd party entities to One Nation so that they can convince the multitudes that they want what the battler wants while ripping off millions in subsidies and paying minimal taxes. If Rinehart was so inclined to actually help the battler then why is she trying to reduce her tax burden and by rote reduce the benefits to our wider Australian communities via company taxation?

Hanson and her cohorts have been busy sniffing out opportunities for community discombobulation and division wherever they go. I guess it beats spending more time in the Senate. You can’t really rally the masses with the occasional Senate burka stunt as well as you can in the communities with a hands-on culture war of conviction.

Her latest populist show-bag offering was a Ben Roberts-Smith rally in southern Brisbane on the weekend where one hundred or so stragglers got sucked into a “community bbq” for the “friends of Ben” - which also offered a T-shirt bearing a message of support for Ben Roberts-Smith - For a price. Apparently the profits from the sale will be put into a trust in Ben Robert-Smith’s name. I’d certainly like to see the receipts for that one down the track 🙄

The pièce de résistance for Pauline was apparently comparing her time in prison with a war hero being arrested and charged with alleged war crimes🙄 They are apparently now brothers and sisters in arms. Although I’m not sure that even BRS would agree with that hypothesis.

Whether Ben Roberts-Smith is guilty or innocent is irrelevant in this instance. It is up to the court to decide his fate. Hanson seeks to muddy the waters for personal gain. In all her time in parliament I have never seen Hanson stand up for veterans rights and welfare consistently - with the exception of high-profile instances like BRS. She has had no interest in veterans and she has spent minimal time on systemic reforms for veterans. The bulk of her time is spent on cultural or immigration issues in the Senate.

Hanson is the ultimate grifter. She will follow the trail of a potential culture war shyte storm like a bloodhound on the trail of a serial sicko. Her reward as a habitual agitator is political populism - which generally has less to do with politics and more to do with convincing folk that her excessive $400k + salary plus perks and donations from billionaires makes her more like them than they think.

More fool them if they believe that a millionaire mouthpiece for a billionaire has the battler’s best interest at heart.

According to The Guardian the QLD LNP have been accused of operating a secret agenda to purge Indigenous representation.

‘Joshua Creamer, a prominent Indigenous barrister, has accused the government of implementing an “organised strategy” to eliminate, remove and reduce the role of Indigenous people within government’

Creamer should know. He was sacked as head of the state’s truth telling and healing inquiry in the QLD LNP’s FIRST act in government after they won the 2024 election. This happened on the QLD LNP government’s FIRST general sitting day of parliament.

Like they’d planned it beforehand 🙄

The QLD LNP have also ‘removed a string of Aboriginal Queenslanders from state government boards and removed Black voices from government policy-making’

The list since the QLD LNP came to power (The Guardian):

-A number of Aboriginal programs and strategies have been defunded.
- The QLD LNP attempted to implement a blanket policy to contest all new native title claims - before backflipping. Don’t think they won’t try to push this through when they get a new improved version at a later date.
-The QLD LNP overturned a decision to name the state’s newest theatre for Indigenous poet, Oodgeroo Noonuccal.
-The QLD LNP passed legislation to exempt its Olympic venues from cultural heritage law.
-QLD LNP have been accused of a cull of protected dingos from K’gari without consultation with Indigenous owners - required by the island’s native title claim.
-The QLD LNP have asked for a number of state electorates to be stripped of their First Nations names. One of them is Oodgeroo - the state electorate adjacent to mine and represented by Amanda Stoker.
-The Indigenous community has also questioned continuing representation in the Education and Health departments including changes to the role of the chief First Nations health officer.

“There’s an organised strategy and that is to ultimately eliminate, remove, reduce the Indigenous affairs, Indigenous initiatives, Indigenous voices”.

Welcome to 1950s Queensland - where women wear aprons, the patriarchal traditions thrive and there is a very overt white Australia movement attempting to mainstream punching down onto Indigenous communities, rights and voices. Again.

Don’t think this jackbooting government will stop with Indigenous people. As long as they can get away with it, they will continue.
