@LeafsFanMd There is no doubt that Carolina is a good deep team, but the Leafs have one of the top premier passer and point getters in the league.....so, why would the Leafs want to trade him for whoever they have? The Leafs would not have made the playoffs without him.
@RobWong34 The Blue Jays had a very good, young team. They did not need to try a rush to win now, as we can all see that there is still some growth to be had for the Blue Jays. They need to stay patient while the young stars are getting better.
@FightMate He went too far, he thought that it was cool to blow out the lit match stick she was using to light a cigarette, so she flicked the match stick at him, after he blew out the flame on the match stick. So, punching her was totally wrong and he should be charged with assault.
@TimCPeel20 Sergachev for Drouin..
as bad as Kadri was for Barrie/Kerfoot
it's not close to how bad Sergachev for Drouin was.
Drafted Galchenyuk.. Kotakaneimi... Zero success with later picks.
yea i have a hard time calling Bergevin better than Dubas at being a GM.
@KwnStorm@jakebeleafs Elias Pettersson is a good player but there is no way he is of the same caliber as Mitch Marner, which is why you won't be General Manager material. The Canucks won't trade Pettersson and the Leafs won't trade Mitch unless there is some other assets coming back with Pettersson.
@DwayneNHL@KPapetti Removing any of these guys in a trade or allowing them to walk will come back to haunt this team and fan base. You guys think you are smarter than the General Manager....lol....you are not....Dubas has been thinking about it long before the season started last year.
Mr. Bettman is going to have to wake up and smell what he is shoveling as this is a Canadian sport and he is trying to take it away from Canada. Mean while, his Coyotes can not come close to breaking even since they enter the league in 1979.
If the NHL doesn't seriously look at putting a team in Quebec or the GTA/Hamilton areas, Gary isn't doing what's best for the league and should be immediately fired.
#Yotes#NHL
I think that all those so called Toronto Maple Leaf Fans and Media that think that the Leafs should fire or get rid of certain player should go find another team to cheer for as we don't need those negative chokes!!
"The #LeafsForever just had their most successful season in 20 years. And now, weโre talking about whether the coach and GM should get fired โย and whether John Tavares will waive his no-trade clause?" https://t.co/8DeTKcZXIT
That is all I am saying.....Bettman should be adding teams where they will flourish, not drown. Even if he was to test out Moncton, New Brunswick or Halifax, Nova Scotia, Or even Quebec City. The teams should be in passionate towns who really appreciate them.
Anyone who does not want to watch passionate hockey games because of the rough way it is played then they should go watch NFL or NLL or NBA or MLB, Rugby, European Football, (where the fans fight the Referees), where the fighting is limited...kinda.
Yes fighting is part of hockey, but you get 5 minutes still for fighting and 5 to 10 minutes for boarding or high-sticking. I would rather the tough-guys fight it out on the ice than having guys going off the ice bleeding or on a stretcher.
@OFFSIDETALK@NHL@MapleLeafs YES!! It is time to retire Bettman and hire someone who is willing to add some Canadian teams and allow toughness back into the game, while eliminating the high-sticking that the European players brought into the NHL back in the "80s and "90s.
Look, Bettman wants to stop fighting in Hockey all together. No one can stop fighting in any sport that has physical contact at just about any level of the sport.

@DwayneNHL Austin Matthews is staying in Toronto.....The Coyotes future in Phoenix is the thing that is up in the air. The team cannot make any money and they are bleeding money like an open artery.
@Leafknowitall64 Well apparently most of the hockey fans born after the '60s or '70s keep pleading for fighting to be banned from hockey so the league has stepped up to try to make it very hard to win without toughness.
