Where is the evidence that congestion will be reduced on the A40? However, there is lots of evidence of the damage being done to the countryside at this location.
@s1m0nc And destroying countryside, in the wrong place with no evidence that there is demand in this location. A true @OxfordshireCC vandalism masterpiece.
@_LiamWalker_ @OxfordshireCC Stopping this scheme, even if the costs had not increasaed, was a sound decision. It always made no sense and evidence of any improvement to the A40
was never forthcoming.
@BBCSouthNews The original plans made no sense and would have been a complete waste of money. Good to see OCC have finally recognised that. Perhaps now they will look at many of the consultation comments rather than ignoring them.
@WodcNews Rubbish. It is just a big car park on a lovely green field site which is being destroyed as we watch. No evidence that it will have any impact on traffic to Oxford.
@BBCSouthNews More of the little remaining countryside in this area being destroyed for a car park. Well done Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire DC!!
@davidgholland @A40Oxford @BadlyParkedOx The whole design is terrible. Really do not think OCC have got the message about active travel. The latest plans for further down the A40 are just as bad.
Blocked access is a common problem for waste crews, especially when reaching homes on narrow streets. Vehicles parked illegally, in turning areas or on bends are an issue due to the size of trucks we use. Help us make waste and recycling collections - please park considerately.
@HomesEngland can you confirm that you are supporting and funding the proposals on the A40 despite the damage they will do to the climate and the countryside.
