@braxton_mccoy 35 here at 4 AM then it clouded up and 40 degrees at 6:30 AM. So maybe we are past the freeze issue until the end of June. Historically get a possibly freeze then. This might be the year it snows on the 4th of July.
@FarmGirlCarrie I miss my rancher guy and wife who would drop in and say put the coffee on. Then we would drink a pot of coffee before they would leave. Great conversations around the kitchen table.
@bmreadel I would buy a nice side by side and ask dad to be available to watch the operation and provide input on where we can improve. By using the side by side you can be all over the harvest in comfort. Don't forget air conditioning in side by side. Just my thought.
@44Bridger Waited until June to set out cabbage and broccoli plants. This morning it is 30 degrees. Forcast said Cloudy and rain coming. Ran and got my covers for those planters. Hopefully before it nips them. Photo is neighbors pasture. Yep its unpredictable weather at this elevation.
@JasonHowell10 This is another reason why I quit custom haying on the other side of the highway here. Traffic all year is bad during the day, but summer traffic is terrible. Right turn season started before Memorial Day this year. People still try to do left turns and delay traffic.
@herefordnharley Baylee, in today's world many don't even understand a work ethic. My granddaughter works at a parts store. She complains often about the employees who show up late, take a longer lunch and complain if they have to work a weekend shift. Hard to find workers so nothing happens.
Clint Eastwood, 94-year-old vegan actor legend, formulated one of the most important lessons of his life so far for the young generation:
"Don't look for luxury in watches or bracelets, don't look for luxury in villas or sailboats!
Luxury is laughter and friends, luxury is rain on your face, luxury is hugs and kisses.
Don't look for luxury in shops, don't look for it in gifts, don't look for it in parties, don't look for it in events!
Luxury is being loved by people, luxury is being respected, luxury is having your parents alive, luxury is being able to play with your grandchildren. Luxury is what money can't buy."
Good morning, friends. Today and every day, I lift up in prayer our brave men and women who defend this nation and keep us free. I am so deeply proud of the sacrifices they make each and every day. May the Lord watch over and protect our sons and daughters. Amen.”
