Tom Dundon putting his entire family's names onto the Stanley Cup, before all the players and staff and even omitting equipment manager bobby gorman who’s been with the canes organization since they were the whalers in 1976 is just disgusting.
Let me be crystal clear here: If you didn't give every last piece of your being to earn this thing, you don't deserve to have your name engraved.
If you're in primary school in Dallas when a team wins in Raleigh ... forget it
The hockey world has long known what Sidney Crosby is all about, but you won't find a better example of his selflessness than his decision to sit out today's Olympic gold-medal final rather than forcing it while injured.
Crosby put his teammates, team and country 🇨🇦 first.
Jon Cooper didn’t have an update on Crosby but he did say much of the talk in the room in the 2nd intermission among the players was:
“This will not be Sid’s last game at the Olympics.”
@Michaeladen7@jasonunderko@HockeyCanada@hockeymanitoba@Canes Point ended 4 Nations playing with McDavid. Bedard isn’t defensively responsible enough & has less experience than Jarvis. Jarvis played in 4 Nations. Familiarity matters — trust matters. Bedard’s time will come, but he does not fit on this team. Also —Cirelli was PK, not Point
Yesterday, I had a very constructive meeting with Doug Burgum @DougBurgum, U.S. Secretary of the Interior for President Donald Trump @POTUS. I told him how important our economies are to one another and how the U.S. needs Canada to achieve energy security and dominance in so many ways. I also emphasized that the current trade dispute is side tracking these shared goals.
It is clear to me that there are many in American leadership that are hopeful this challenging time will be resolved sooner rather than later. I will continue my diplomatic efforts in the U.S. to see that happen as quickly as possible.
