@DLee075 Canes in 5 seems optimistic, but they're exhibit A for what actual good coaching looks like. They're easy to underestimate because the narratives are easy to buy into.
@HaydenWinks DJM is gone though, right? How does Burden look without DJM and WITH CL? As an owner of both Burden and Loveland who can only keep one, that's the data point I'm most interested in.
@SensCentral What makes it worse is there was no reason to do it. That dude would have been loyal to the end. But why trust Melnyk after seeing what he did to Alfie and Karlsson? I don't blame Stone one bit and I'm happy for him.
@SensCentral Voted B but I always feel the problem with hypotheticals like these is that they don't include the price.
In a vacuum, you'd just want the best goalie, but each of these guys has a cost associated with them, and that HAS to be part of the equation as much as the stats do.
@SensCentral For what he might cost that seems like the wrong move. If the Sens are in the market for a RD, that basically means they don't see Spence or Yak in the top 4 anytime soon. Would rather focus on the need at F.
@SensCentral If Chychrun looked like he did in WSH I think this stings a lot less. A huge part of Dorion's legacy is identifying the right need and then filling it with the wrong player.
