"THE HILLS ARE STEEP, BUT THEIR HUNGER IS FAR DEEPER."
Take a close look at these photos.

This isn't just a walk. This is a battle against gravity, heat, and exhaustion to keep children from sleeping hungry...
DAY TWO of our Emergency Food Distribution; to reach the families...

🌾"WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO REACH A HUNGRY CHILD?"
It takes hours of climbing steep, unforgiving hills. It takes carrying heavy food packages on our heads, across our backs, and in our aching hands where no roads can go. DAY ONE of our Emergency Relief Food Distribution Drive 💦

Visiting Odita’s home was a powerful reminder of why grassroots support is so critical.
During our recent home visits, we spent time with Odita, a courageous young mother raising her two small children alongside her mom.

Yesterday, the GOSAFO-UG team went out into the field for Home Visits to check on the children and families in our care. To reach them, we had to take off our gumboots, fold up our trousers, and step directly into the river currents.

Opening books, opening minds!
There is nothing quite like the energy of gathering together with the incredible children in our care. In this moment, they are proudly holding the books we regularly read together during our literacy and mentorship sessions.

Our team is out in the field with some of the children in our care, standing near the bamboo trees along the old path of River Nyamwamba.

We believe that true education shouldn't just happen inside four walls, it happens when children can see, touch, and understand the ecosystem
