Hey friends with studios. We’re looking to whip up a very special episode for you man this Thursday but we need a studio in Birmingham over the afternoon.
Any suggestions of podcast friendly studios or people who wanna help give us a space let us know.
@FeliciaJulianax The only Birmingham based podcast I know is @GotTheJuiceBrum , they aren't putting out any new episodes at the moment but the old ones are worth a listen, they discuss lots of good topics

it’s early in the am but it’s never too early to educate ourselves about mixed race experiences, light skin privileges & accountability.
also hopefully the convo’s never stop with us.
we’re out here educating ourselves with you.
we all deserve the juice too init. https://t.co/JeTlW7jBhn
@Gracieyouhoo@BrainFooood@ING Thirdly, accountability and understanding the privilege this society affords us as light skin people is crucial to stepping out of conversations that don’t concern us or taking up space where we should be listening to how colourism affects dark skin people instead of projecting
@Gracieyouhoo@BrainFooood Firstly, being mixed race is not synonymous with being light skin and it erases/derails productive conversations about colourism by crossing the two. Not all mixed race people are light skin just as not all people of singular ethnicity are dark skin.
Things I have no time for...
• micro-aggressions (that shit’lol take 10 years off your life)
• white people calling me articulate in surprise
• unseasoned food
• fake deep image gang who pull ladders away after they’ve climbed them
• cranes in the sky (gentrification)
The latest @TheGrapevineTV episode is out focusing on knife crime in the UK, and I just want to highlight @RichieBrave point because that’s often what UK media fails to address and even want to talk about!
Finally listening to @GotTheJuiceBrum podcast re being Mixed Race (shhh, I know) It's a shame that some of the guest's narrative kind of fell in to the same arguments that white people use around privilege. Well done to @RakeemOmar for pushing on and keeping the convo balanced.
