An Israeli grad student spent her career trying to prove America’s justice system was “racist” against young Black offenders.
She was stabbed to death in broad daylight in downtown Chicago… by a Black man.
Anat Kimchi, 31, wrote papers on “disparities” in the system.
Reality wrote the final chapter.
Random. Senseless.
This is what “defund the police” and soft-on-crime policies + ignoring racial crime stats gets you.
Chicago’s streets don’t care about your thesis.
“One who has pride within himself is spiritually ill. He may appear outwardly strong, learned, or virtuous, but inwardly he is tormented, because grace does not dwell in him. God does not reveal Himself to the proud man, because pride is darkness. The proud man wants to understand everything with his mind, but the things of God are known through humility and purity of heart.
When a person acquires humility, then divine illumination comes naturally. He no longer struggles to prove himself right, to conquer others in arguments, or to force his opinions onto people. He has peace. The humble man even sees his own faults as greater than those of others, and because of this, he receives great mercy from God.
Today people are filled with anxiety because they have distanced themselves from the simple spiritual life. They rely only on logic, on worldly knowledge, on their ego. But peace is not found there. Peace comes when a person cuts off his own will, repents sincerely, prays with pain of heart, and entrusts himself to God.
We must struggle with good spiritual philotimo. Christ does not ask from us impossible things. He asks for humility, repentance, love, patience, and trust in Him. Even a small humble effort attracts divine Grace. But the ego blocks Grace, just as a wire covered in rust cannot conduct electricity.
Do not seek lofty spiritual states. Seek repentance. Repentance brings humility, humility brings Grace, and Grace brings God’s peace into the soul. Then a person becomes spiritually healthy and quietly radiates Christ to others without even speaking much.”
— Saint Paisios of Mount Athos
She is 91 years old, dressed in a hospital gown, her hands cuffed. Arrested for armed robbery. The judge couldn't believe his eyes.
Helen and her husband George, 88, have been married for 65 years. He suffers from severe heart failure and needs daily medication to survive. They live on a fixed pension and struggle to make ends meet. Last month, their supplemental insurance expired because they couldn't afford the payments.
When Helen went to pick up her prescription, the bill wasn't $50, as usual. It came to $940. She left empty-handed.
For three days, she watched the man she loved struggle to breathe.
Desperate, she returned to the pharmacy. Taking advantage of the pharmacist's distraction, she slipped the medication into her purse. She hadn't even reached the door before she was apprehended. The police charged her with armed robbery.
During her detention, her blood pressure skyrocketed and she was rushed to the hospital. The following morning, still wearing her thin dress, she was brought to court.
"I didn't know what to do anymore," she murmured. "He's all I have left."
The black judge looked at her – small, trembling, 91 years old – and shook his head.
"Take off her chains," he ordered. "She's not a criminal. She's a failure of our system, the US system."
He immediately dismissed the charges and ordered emergency assistance for her and George.
Her own father got her drunk… then raped her for four hours straight.
She couldn’t even walk afterward. Her uncle had to carry her into the hospital.
The rape kit proved his DNA.
She was left so broken she took her own life — because she couldn’t live with what her dad did to her.
And he’s only getting THREE YEARS?
This is not justice. This is a slap in the face to every survivor.
May he never know a single second of peace.

"One day old Paisios was visited in his remote hermitage by a group of five obnoxious young men, full of pride and arrogance. He patiently spent several hours showing them extra attention. But a theology teacher who was present became irritable and impatient. 'How could you tolerate them?' he asked him. And the elder replied, 'Have you ever wondered how God could tolerate you?'"
“Teachers are more lenient in their marking of girls' schoolwork, according to an international study.
An OECD report on gender in education, across more than 60 countries, found that girls receive higher marks compared with boys of the same ability.”
He left his American country for the love of a Honduran woman.
Joseph Nelson, an American who arrived in Honduras as a Mormon missionary, decided to stay in the country after falling in love with a Honduran woman from Choluteca. What began as a vision ended up completely changing his life.
The woman is a single mother, but that wasn't an obstacle for Joseph, who decided to build a life with her and take on the responsibility of caring for their young child. Although they haven't ruled out moving to the United States, the American chose to remain in Honduras.
Another thing overlooked in the modern women dating issues is wine & pills: last time I was single around 2016 ish the women I dated often had various pill addictions and/or were on countless pharmaceuticals, from SSRIs to xanax to birth control. Pills 💊 are making these women 378% more insane.
"Једна од лоших навика је псовање. Анђео чувар таквог човека плаче, а ђаво се радује. Богородица скида свој молитвени покров са таквог човека и сама одлази од њега. Због непристојног језика Бог допушта човеку невоље, болести и многе несреће."
