I don't believe he controlled what happened or that the blame belongs solely to him i simply believe influence and intent aren't the same thing. Someone can have good intentions while still unintentionally affecting how a fandom reacts

I just also believe influence carries a level of responsibility, especially in fandoms this large. Either way, I think we can both++
