Thousands celebrate Cauvery River even through the flow is scanty says the report. Dont dismiss it as a ritual of the animists. In it hides the very formula to protect environment. Read on
That Reverence towards rivers is the basis for reviving rivers has been proved in the case of half a dozen dried rivers in India. Rivers are not secular assets.. they are sacred. Nature as whole, forest trees air earth everything, is scared. "Isavasyam idam sarvam" says Upanishad. Gandhi translates it to mean "everything down to the tiniest atom is divine". But Abrahamic civilisation regards nature as intended for human enjoyment which according to scientists like Lyn White is responsible for environmental destruction in the last few centuries.
Christian theologian Shaji George Kochuthara suggests that Christianity should learn reverence for nature from Himduism. He writes: There is a concerted effort to avert the impending ecological disaster. Religions try to remedy the ‘spiritual inadequacy’ to face the ecological crisis by rediscovering their resources. Christianity, with the theology of ‘dominating earth’, is often accused of having been responsible for the present crisis. It may be true that certain emphases in the Christian tradition did not facilitate a reverential attitude to nature. But, it will be unjust to attribute to Christianity the sole responsibility. The main reason for the present ecological crisis seems to be the neo-liberalist ideology that promotes competition based market, unlimited profit and consumerism. A critical reading of the Bible demands that we develop a reverential attitude to nature. Other religious traditions like Hinduism can help us re-discover further our own eco-theology. Ecological crisis is basically an ethical issue, an issue of justice and demands a radical change in the present dominant style. Eco-theological ethics gives the possibility of interreligious dialogue and collaborative action"

The Hindu philosophy translated into life style has made India an ecological wonder. Wonder? Yes.
See: India's total land mass is 2.4% of world's. But it is home to 18% of world's human population, 30% of world's bovine population, over 40% of all cattle population and 8% of all other species and with 21% forest coverage.
Is it not a wonder
Contrast US and China: both are 3.5 times larger in land mass. But have less than 1/4 the animals and species India is home to.
It is not Hindu philosophy that makes it possible. But lifestyle. It is the ordinary Indians -- regarded by elites intellectuals seculars modernists -- as backward who have hept the lifestyle that is based on all living beings as sacred that has made it possible
Even in 1960s when we didn't have food our animal population kept rising. We didn't eat them or starve them.
2/3 of Indians are meat eaters. But for them meat is just sabzi. The per capita consumption of meat in India is 3.5kg. and 190 kgs of cereals fruits and vegetables In US it is 124kg meat and 90 kgs rest
If all Indians begin eating like Americans saying we have the human right to eat what we like we will need 6 times the farm land we have and our land mass has to be 2.5 times more.
Also meat produces 10 to 100 times more Co2 emission. That is why before the Paris climate meet in 2015 many NGOs wanted a meat free Monday which the meat lobby crushed
What regulations cannot achieve has been achieved by Hinduism by philosophy translated into lifestyle and habits by rituals like how thousands celebrate even a non flowing Cauvery, workshipping different animals, trees, mountains and earth
Modernists who trivialise and delegitimise this philosophy backed liestyle habits and rituals are only promoting eco destruction
To all the 15-year-olds who were 25 last week:
Your handlers, mentors, tutors and paymasters did you a profound disservice by failing to teach you the first rule of civil society: if you give respect, you earn respect.
If your language is obnoxious, don’t be surprised when the response is equally blunt. You get as good as you give.
That lesson should have been taught by your parents, reinforced in kindergarten, and learned on the playground long before you discovered social media.
Before opening your mouth, did you stop to think?
This isn’t courage. It isn’t empowerment. It is pure and simple vulgarity.
So spare us the tearful videos about the abusive messages you’re now receiving or the insults directed at your mother.
If you normalise abuse as your preferred language, don’t pretend shock when the same standards are applied to you.
And to the adults applauding this behaviour: post a video of your own children or grandchildren speaking to you in exactly the same language.
If you’d celebrate it at your own dining table, your advocacy is credible. If you don’t tolerate it at home, spare us your agenda.
We See You.
Under the vision of a robust and secure India, the Modi govt has pulled in the net, nabbing fugitives hiding abroad. Regardless of which country they absconded to, India's new approach to national security has ensured the return of 274 criminals since 2019, compared with a mere four per year during the UPA regime.
Gone are the days when criminals were allowed to sneak through the gaps in the system. New India has addressed every gap in the old system through new laws, institutions, and global partnerships, weaving an unbreachable security net.
It is the pampered & spoilt ones that agitated, created anarchy in Delhi to shame Bharath
Look at the 25 cr real Gen Z India all of whom go for 100s of Km of theerth yatras, visit temples, 15% of whom are entrepreneurs providing not seekig jobs, doing farming. They are the true Gen Z.. the jantar mantar CJP frauds is the pampered group which parades as Gen Z. It has nothing to do with GenZ. Two of the leaders including the president of CJP are above 30, a lady leader doesn't reveal her age, one leader is 101, the age of rest are not known. This CJP leadership that is trying g to hijack Gen Z brand.
Vande means to bow, to salute.
Mataram means Mother.
It simply means "I bow to you, Mother."
In Islam, we're taught paradise lies beneath a mother's feet. We bow before her every single day, with love.
So bowing to Mother, whether she gave us birth, or she's the land that raised us, isn't a conflict of faith.
That's just gratitude, expressed the way we already know how to give it. Simple.
The controversy is unneccesary.
#VandeMataram
“Vande Mataram”
Watch the heart-rending presentation by the Indian contingent at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Be honest. Could anyone have imagined such a proud assertion of India’s civilisational identity under previous governments. This would’ve been a wall-to-wall prime-time coverage for all channels.
Instead, much of the media remained trapped in yesterday’s narrative; like insects & cockroaches that thrive in the dark.
Notice the their nonchalance when the riots break out on the 20th? Saurav is more interested in his hairstyle and appearance & the three clowns are behaving like they’re superior officers while Delhi Police are the supplicants. Why @DelhiPolice? Why?
India has sent 122 athletes to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games
Among them, 20 are from the Indian Army
India's total medals: 39
Medals won by Army personnel: 16
🥇 Gold: 8
🥈 Silver: 7
🥉 Bronze: 1
Just 16% of the contingent (Army athletes) won 41% of India's medals
Unfortunately, the people who were mocking and insulting our soldiers on the streets of Delhi the other day as "incompetent" are unlikely to know this.
CJP leaders Sourav Das, Dipke and Dhruv Rathee along with other cockroaches were making fun of PM Narendra Modi's Indian accent of saying 'Friends'
Today Arnab returned the insult with full interest. Enjoy the roast 🔥
• 250–300 million muslims pray every day for Modi to be removed as PM.
• Most opposition parties are united to defeat him.
• The left-wing ecosystem runs anti-Modi propaganda 24/7.
• Neighboring countries want him out.
• Foreign forces are allegedly pouring money into efforts to unseat him.
Yet they still can't defeat him.
One man. Standing like a rock.🔥🔥
Believe me, he is no ordinary man.he is someone sent by the Almighty God to help make India a better nation.👏
‘If we remove all politicians from sports federations and handover those to army, one day we can top the tally of the Olympics’ only prime minister @narendramodi can bring such a change.
The man who has to be accorded a gigantic share of the credit for taking Indian Boxing to where it has reached right now, is Col Arun Malik, ( 19 Guards & CO 12 Guards), the Executive Director of the Boxing Federation of India since the last four odd years.
Seen here at the Boxing venue in Glasgow.
You make us proud sir!🫡🇮🇳

The language we choose reflects our personality and the kind of person we are. Choose your words wisely, because over time, you become what you think, what you speak, and what you practice.
Using bad language is not cool. Abusing is not cool.
Let’s keep the definition of cool simple: being hardworking, kind, respectful towards others and yourself, striving to be successful through honesty, and making your parents and your country proud.
THAT’S COOL.
I’m speaking about this because, over the past few years, the way we perceive abusive language has changed. For many, using such words has become so normal that it’s even considered “cool.” Without realizing it, people casually use degrading and disrespectful language in everyday conversations.
If there is one video you should watch today, let it be this: as Indian boxer Arundhati Chaudhary’s family celebrates her Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026 gold medal, you’re reminded that every medal is won not just by an athlete, but by an entire family that stands behind them through every challenge.
The raw emotions, tears of joy, tight hugs, and overwhelming pride, this is what years of blood, sweat, sacrifices, unwavering belief, and unconditional family support look like 🩷
Colonel Arun Malik, GUARDS (Retd), Executive Director of Boxing Federation … the man who took Indian boxing to newer heights of glory 👍
More uniformed persons should manage sports in India to bring in discipline and dedication 🫡
Jai Hind 🇮🇳
If there's one leader in the BJP who can gob-smack rogue media in multiple languages - it is the ever so eloquent @smritiirani ji
Marya Shakil tried to act cheeky but got completely stunned when Smritiji cornered over their "Tyranny Of Distance" when it came to reporting on students protests in Jharkhand
Similar to SC/ST Act, there should be a law that gives penalty for speaking against Bramhins.
There is a continuous hate speech against Bramhins in India. From Environment, to Feminism to Bollywood.
Everything that goes with Commie Ekta, has to give slogans against Bramhins!
