I lived at home (in EXPENSIVE New Jersey) until age 25 saving thousands of dollars per month AND buying a brand-new Buick Grand National for $16,660 in 1987 (about $47,000 in 2026 dollars) that I paid off in 3 years out of a 5-year loan, while handing my Mother $100 each month to cover my expenses at home.

No shame in that.

I naturally did not get chicks into my parents' 800 Square Foot HOUSE (40' wide x 20' deep) because everyone could hear everyone, but it worked out over the next 10 years or so and now into my retirement.
