1. कम से कम 37 लोगों ने Form 7 भरकर खुद को "मृत" बताते हुए अपना ही नाम मतदाता सूची से हटवाने की मांग की; फॉर्म भरने वाला और जिसका नाम हटाना था, दोनों बिल्कुल एक ही थे।
2. 668 लोगों (334 जोड़ों) ने एक-दूसरे को मृत घोषित किया: एक ने दूसरे का नाम हटाने का फॉर्म भरा, और "मृत" घोषित व्यक्ति ने भी पलटकर वैसा ही फॉर्म भर दिया। ये मामले 25 से ज़्यादा जिलों में फैले थे, सबसे ज़्यादा बेलगावी में (160), फिर कलबुर्गी में (80)।
3. ज़्यादातर फॉर्म 30 जून को SIR शुरू होने से पहले भरे गए थे, लेकिन कम से कम तीन फॉर्म ड्राफ्ट मतदाता सूची छपने के बाद भी भरे गए।
4. बायतरायनपुरा में सुधा के.एन. फॉर्म भरने वाली और हटाए जाने वाली, दोनों के रूप में दर्ज थीं; जबकि असल में उनकी पत्नी ने उनके पति श्रीकांत का नाम हटाने का फॉर्म भरा था। सांदूर में हनुमंत ने अपना ही नाम "मृत" बताकर हटाने का फॉर्म भरा।
5. अधिकारियों ने कुछ मामलों को "सॉफ्टवेयर गड़बड़ी" बताया, जबकि BLO इसकी वजह स्पष्ट नहीं कर सकीं कि यह गड़बड़ी गणना के दौरान हुई या पुरानी मतदाता सूचियों में पहले से थी।

As the Election Commission launches a special drive in 20 states to bring back voters “left out” in the SIR, its officers are staring at a unique problem: persuading lakhs, possibly crores, of people to fill Form 6, the “Application Form for New Voters,” which asks them to declare they are applying “for the first time.”

Form 6 is the right route back, and officials say signing it invites no legal action. But people who’ve voted for decades balk at calling themselves new, and many believe the declaration is false.

Against that backdrop, Maharashtra’s CEO has proposed a fix: drop “New Voters” from the title, and let the deleted say they were enrolled before and cite their old EPIC number.

अल्टरनेटिव मीडिया के पत्रकारों/कंटेंट कर पर सरकार/सरकारी पत्रकार इतने नाराज क्यों हैं?

क्यों इनका उभरना उन्हें अखरने लगा?

क्योंकि जब सच दिखना बंद हो गया था,मीडिया में आम जन की आवाज गायब हो गयी थी,प्रतिरोध का स्पेस ख़तम हो गया था तब

इन्ही साहसी स्वतंत्र पत्रकारों ने मोर्चा संभाला! सीमित संसाधन और विपरीत हालत में मीडिया स्पेस को जिन्दा किया! जन की आवाज बने

क्योंकि जब टीवी मीडिया सरकारी प्रोपगंडा का हिस्सा बन गया,हिन्दू मुस्लिम नफरत पर इनका पूरा फोकस टिक गया,सरकार और बीजेपी के
हर विरोधी को ये बलि करने लगे तो इन्ही युवा स्वतंत्र पत्रकारों ने बताया की असल साहस मजबूत और जिम्मेदार से सवाल करना होता है,उन्हें बचाना नहीं!

किसान आंदोलन हो,कोविद के दौरान लोगों को हुई दिक्क्त हो,नीट आंदोलन हो या SIR के बहाने लोगों के वोट के अधिकार को छीनने की कोशिश,गावों-कस्बों की हालत बताना हो, यही स्वतंत्र पत्रकार देश की आवाज बने!

इसीलिए गुसा करने की जगह आत्ममंथन कीजिये की की नए नए लड़के लड़किया,एकदम कम संसाधन में,छोटे छोटे प्लेटफार्म के लिए काम करते हैं फिर भी कैसे इतने दर्शकों तक पहुंच जा रहे हैं? क्यों उनकी नजर में "छोटे-मोटे" पत्रकारों से उन्हें खतरा हो गया? क्यों आम लोगों की नजर में यही "छोटे-मोटे" पत्रकार असल मीडिया की ट्रीट किये जाने लगे?

टीवी और प्रिंट मीडिया के पास ऐसा नेटवर्क/ऐसेस और समझ है की अगर वे अपने फॉर्म में आ जाएं तो आज भी सबसे ताकतवर होंगे!

जो इन "छोटे मोटे" अल्टरनेटिव मीडिया के पत्रकारों के लिए कानून बनाने की मांग कर रहे हैं क्या वे यह कहेंगे की मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया भी किसी भी सरकार से कोई सहायता विज्ञापन के रूप में नहीं लेगा! यह भी कानून का हिस्सा बनवा दीजिये!

इसलिए लकीर को मिटने की जगह अपनी लकीर बड़ी कीजिये!

फिलहाल इन तमाम नामचीन/गुमनाम स्वतंत्र पत्रकारों को सलाम जिन्होंने एक मरते मीडिया को समाज में जिन्दा किया!

दिल्ली में करीब 33 लाख वोटर्स लॉजिकल डिस्क्रिपेंसी के नाम पर बाहर हो गये थे। आज निर्वाचन आयोग ने ये जानकारी दी है कि अब तक 33 लाख में से 20 लाख वोटर्स का मामला सुलझ गया है। आगे कहा गया है कि कोई भी सही मतदाता छूटेगा नहीं।

10 days after our investigation into the rupture inside the Election Commission, the poll watchdog has told all 20 states where SIR is over to run a “special drive” to bring back voters “left out” of the rolls.

State CEOs have been told to identify voters deleted as unmapped or for “logical discrepancy” and that BLOs should go house to house to help bring them back. They will use Form 6 to apply for inclusion of such “left out” voters.

And the question added to Form 6 in July, asking whether your parents were on the last SIR roll, which one Commissioner called “unauthorised/illegal,” now applies only during the “SIR phase.”

What does that mean? In the 20 states where SIR is over, “left out” voters and first-time voters will use the plain statutory Form 6, without the question seeking details of their family’s link to the last SIR.

Saturday's statement carries "the approval of the full Commission" and a photo of all three at one table, after ten months in which two of them said they weren't consulted.

Whether CEC Gyanesh Kumar now takes the two along, and whether they have more say, remains to be seen.

The 14 objections by two of its three members were "suggestions," every decision was "unanimous."

With in 48 hours, on Saturday, it issued NINE decisions. Read them against the 14 notes. It's a U-TURN, not in what it says, but in what it does.

Yesterday, @IndianExpress reported an unprecedented rupture inside the Election Commission: TWO of its three members objecting on record, 14 times in 10 months, to decisions taken without their knowledge.

Today, the second part of our investigation looks at the concern Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi flagged most often: Who really controls our electoral rolls?
