Such a lovely day spent in the sunshine in Foundation Phase today, with so many activities to enjoy!

Reception thoroughly enjoyed ' a morning at home' for their immersion day to kick start their vehicle for learning! They came to school in pyjamas, had breakfast together, washed, brushed their teeth and hair and got dressed - Lots of opportunities for discussion!

Reusing plastic packaging and bottles can be so much fun! Reception created individual boats, Y1 and Y2 designed and built two amazing rafts. Success-they all floated! An exciting morning at the canal for all. #reducereuserecycle @EcoSchoolsWales @CanalRiverTrust @GoytreFP

Reception had a special visitor on Engage & Excite day! A day spent looking after and observing Albie was the perfect springboard to provide lots of questions and discussion for our STEM vehicle of learning where Reception will be focusing on 'living things'

Reception enjoyed mud painting earlier this week! They used a range of mark making resources to paint pictures, patterns and practise letter formation and word building 😁

Reception made the most of the very cold mornings this week to explore ice and the signs of Winter. We also had an ice melting experiment and made some cool observations! Of course, we had to finish with a hot chocolate!

Our wellbeing garden is starting to take shape! Pupils worked together to transport planters to new area and to plan and arrange their desired layout.

We have absolutely loved working with @ginamorgan80 @upbeatwales for the past 10 weeks to create and perform dances for our Learning vehicle 'Happy Days in Foundation Phase'. Watch this space to see the finished product!
