You’re taking this personally…I’m not attacking cymraeg,I’m a passionate English only speaking Welshman,as are the majority of my friends &family in s.e. Wales.But those messages either go out bilingually(preference)or English only 1st for max effect

@Sian_Parry @Iambeth2 @bleddyn_taylor But we are not in Spain. We are in Wales, where 80% of us (rightly or wrongly- that’s a different argument) speak English.

In times of emergency, those messages have to either go out bilingually, or in English initially if space doesn’t allow. Common sense please.

@john_ritzema In Wales we had the Welsh language message come through a good 3/4 minutes before the English language version. Which was fantastic for the 80% of us who were not expecting it and had no idea what it meant…!
