Yesterday, Joan Sebastian Guerrero became the second person shot and killed by ICE.

In both incidents the men were killed because ICE thought they were other people.

ICE didn't even bother to verify either man was their actual target.

Joan Sebastian Guerrero actually had a permit to work in the USA and a Social Security number.

Now both men leave behind families in mourning.

Trump, failed Homeland Secretary Noem and current failing Homeland Secretary Mullin have given ICE agents a license to kill to people with brown skin.

The line worth sitting with is the judge's own, not the celebratory posts from Tarrio and Rehl. Kelly wrote that his ruling shouldn't be mistaken for the court's agreement with the decision, and that he had no actual power to compel a prosecution the executive branch had decided to abandon. That's a federal judge, appointed by Trump himself, going out of his way to document that this outcome was compelled, not earned.

What got erased here wasn't a technicality. Nordean, Biggs, and Rehl were convicted of seditious conspiracy, the most serious charge available for January 6th, the one meant to establish this wasn't a riot that got out of hand but an organized attempt to obstruct the certification of an election. Those convictions are now permanently gone, and the men who received them are publicly thanking the president for it.

Trump has already floated compensating January 6th defendants through an anti-weaponization fund a court has since blocked. Toss that fact next to this ruling and the pattern isn't subtle. It's not just clemency anymore. It's the systematic unwinding of the legal record establishing what actually happened on January 6th, one procedurally forced dismissal at a time.
