We're taking a closer look at two cases that the Buffalo detective highlighted, accusing Buffalo Public Schools officials of failing to protect children from abuse. https://t.co/vO8p66uDOJ
I told @Timcast how @Buffalo_Schools were actively preventing law enforcement from investigating sexual and physical abuse when it came to their students. This is that video @UnsubscribeCast
Hot Take America Won.
US forced North Vietnam to sign Paris peace accords in 1973. This stated fighting would stop and North Vietnam would respect the sovereignty of South Vietnam.
Fighting stopped. America left.
After America left, fighting resumed. Even though that violated the peace treaty, AKA a war crime, Saigon fell 2 years later in 1975.
America showed up, kicked ass the entire time, forced them to sign a peace treaty they didn’t want to sign, and then left. That’s a win.
If someone is being mugged and a cop shows up, prevents the mugging, forces the perpetrator to go to court and get sentenced, then 2 years later that perpetrator successfully mugs the same person when the cop isn’t there, are you going to say the cop didn’t stop a mugging?
Here are most arguments that will be in the comment section and the counter to them:
1.“Well, America shouldn’t have been there to begin with.”
•Cool, I agree for the most part. Whether or not something should have happened doesn’t change the outcome of it.
2.“The fighting never fully stopped, so the peace accords mean nothing.”
•Wars end with complete annihilation or forcing the other side to sign non-preferential treaties. If we use the metric that war ends when 100% of fighting stops, WW2 didn’t end until 1974 when the last Imperial Japanese soldier, Hiroo Onoda, stopped guerrilla fighting in the Philippines. This is a ridiculous metric.
3.“Well, ultimately, at the end of the day, North Vietnam conquered South Vietnam so America technically lost.”
•America wasn’t even there—how could they lose? If you beat a guy in MMA by making him submit and 2 years later that guy is fighting someone else, and you want him to lose but he ends up winning, did you lose an MMA fight? No, you weren’t even there. “bUt YoUr gOaL wAs To MaKe HiM lOsE. aNd hE WoN EvEnTuALly sO yOu LoST”. See how fucking stupid that sounds?
4.“America was there—I’ve seen the pictures of Americans fleeing Saigon.”
•You’ve seen pictures of American diplomats getting evacuated from the American embassy. There was no American military combat force in Vietnam in 1975.

@_adamcrowley@937theFan Being a fantasy commish is a dream and a nightmare all in one. I told my leagues that any player that didn't finish the game on Sunday will have their points counted this week. Then we will finalize the brackets. #contractleague#dynastyforever
