South advances to the Sweet 16 with a 10-2 W over Detroit Western ar the historic ballpark in Hamtramck. @WellsGraham4 earned the W w 7K over 4.1. @GrabowskiCliff finished it up. Ben Frakes hit a bomb, @DomzalskiBen had 3 H, and Grabowski & @jake_kozel had 2 each.

The district final was all it was hyped up to be: 2 good teams battling it out and a lot of great defensive plays. This time, South prevails 3-2 for our 26th district title. @GrabowskiCliff went the distance for the W!

South 6, Lakeview 0 in the semi-final at GP North. South will play in the District final against the winner of @GPNorthBaseball& Harper Woods at approx 2:30. @GrabowskiCliff ‘23 hit 2 HR to pace the offense & @WellsGraham4 ‘23 had a CG shutout.

Congrats to @GrabowskiCliff & @WellsGraham4 on their selection to the @MAC_OAA_ASG at @uspbl Jimmy John’s Field! This is the 3rd annual game, which will take place on the evening of June 20. This will be an appropriate conclusion of 2 great HS careers for these young men!

Well, that’s one way to break in a new scoreboard…the boys never gave up! Alex English ‘23 (vid) earned the W in relief. @WellsGraham4 ‘23, Ben Frakes ‘23 & @jake_kozel ‘24 had multi-hit games. South is now 20-11 and moves back into 2nd place in the Red.

GPS took both ends of the DH at @uspbl Jimmy John’s Field, 12-2 & 11-2, moving to 18-4. @MazeyChase & @WCharuba, both ‘23, combined on the pitching gm1. @AndrewDilodovi2 ‘25 & @GrabowskiCliff ‘23 had 2 H each. Most importantly, @nolan_eszes ‘23 had a crowd-pleasing anthem (pic)

GPS won the opener today, 3-2, to take the series against Romeo. @AndrewDilodovi2 ‘25 had the walkoff single (vid) & @GrabowskiCliff ‘23 scattered 7 H in a CG W on the mound. @C_Stafford6 & @HunterBelanger had multiple hits, along with Dilodovico. South improves to 6-1 in the Red

South moved to 5-1 in the Red and 15-4 overall with a 3-1 win at Romeo. RHP @WellsGraham4 ‘23 was the star with a very efficient CG, scattering 5 H & not allowing an ER. CF @GrabowskiCliff had a key 2B, RBI & run scored. The series will conclude tomorrow at home with a 4pm DH

In a marathon of a game at Stevenson, South pulls through 7-4 in 12 innings. @JackRyan_014 ‘24 nailed down the S & had a 2 RBI 1B in the 12th. @Hvinyard18 ‘24 had the game winning hit. @GrabowskiCliff ‘23 was outstanding in relief for the W after a solid start fr Ben Frakes ‘23

GPS will open up league play on Tues for the 40th such time under Coach Griesbaum. From the old E.M.L. to the MAC White & then the Red, he’s always appreciated our tough league opponents & the day-in day-out grind that comes with it. Congrats, Coach on the big milestone season!

GPS is now 6-2 after a 6-5 W over Anchor Bay. Standouts inc @GrabowskiCliff ‘23 who earned the W in relief and had 3 H to pace the offense and 3B @jake_kozel ‘24 (pic) who had 2 hits & both the game tying & winning RBI. South will host Roseville for a twinbill Saturday at 11am.

The boys won a well played 2-1 game against #2 Brother Rice behind a very efficient performance from RHP @WellsGraham4 ‘23, who scattered 4 H. C @DomzalskiBen ‘23 & 3B @AndrewDilodovi2 ‘25 (vid) had multi-hit games. GPS is now 5-2 overall & will host Anchor Bay tomorrow at 4:30.
