A federal judge just ordered the State Department to start giving away green cards by random drawing again.

Judge Jinsook Ohta in San Diego, a Biden appointee, ordered the 2027 diversity visa lottery reopened. That's up to 55,000 permanent residency slots handed out by pure chance. The Trump administration tried to shut it down, and one judge in California overruled it.

Who gets to live here permanently should come down to skills, loyalty and whether you'll actually become an American. It shouldn't come down to a raffle ticket. Congress needs to kill this lottery for good so no judge can bring it back from the dead. 🇺🇸
