A constructive meeting with Vice Chancellors at @10DowningStreet this morning.
I was pleased to hear of steps being taken to tackle antisemitism on campuses, and we will continue to work with universities to crack down on this unacceptable behaviour.
Chris Day, Vice Chancellor of Newcastle University, is also Chair of the Russell Group in March 2023. The Russel Group represents 24 leading research universities known for their teaching and education links with national and global businesses. 16/24 have student encampments.
