@NamorPB Makes sense. I think that this strong simplicity nonsense stems from wrongly considering attributes to be parts in the first place. God’s attributes are descriptions of the one God, each stating something true of him. They aren’t little objects that come together to form him.

For my own clarity, what exactly are you affirming when you say that God is simple? And exactly which propositions that others affirm do you reject?

@PatrologyVotary As for him referring to a couple of Greek words like he does, that honestly doesn’t prove much. I’ve seen many preachers with little to no greek do similar thing in their sermons - in fact I’ve done the same in my own. 😛
@PatrologyVotary Honestly this rather seems to prove that he really *wasn’t* able to engage the Greek. Notice that his textual criticism of Phil 3:3 is actually wrong. Perhaps someone he trusted had told him that all the Greek manuscripts contained his preferred reading, and he believed them.

Sounds Nestorian. Jesus IS God. And He himself suffered and died on the cross (in the form of a servant / in the flesh etc).
