Juneteenth is a joyous celebration and a reminder that the road to justice and equality is one we must walk together. Generations of Americans refused to accept that freedom should belong to some and not others.

The District of Columbia Safety Enforcement Act was one of my final bills signed into law, giving MPDC stronger tools to take real action on crime.

If elected, I will build on this to strengthen public safety and protect our communities from criminals.
