@Work_Ethic_@ruby_rafaelina Um…her financial situation ain’t fucced. His is. He coasted for 30 years and yet your stance is to argue with women cause they have the audacity to advocate for women who may end up carrying the whole load cause you rather hear about a man being trifling?
@TomMitchellData In my hunt I keep coming across job postings listed as data analyst but what they really want are other data variants I.e. engineer, administrator, architect, scientist. No company truly wants an analyst it seems and that’s all a lot of us want to do.
@NeadNgo@itsjusttra@dijoni If the organization did any community outreach I would pay attention. It’s dismissive of you to think that I would scroll past especially since you have no access to that profile’s analytics. And comparing this to the subject of men’s protection is inciting, it’s not the same.
@NeadNgo@itsjusttra@dijoni Knowing something happens vs actually seeing it are two different things. You know the light turn off when you close the fridge but have you actually seen it happen. No. So, showing black fathers doing fatherly things would do better than watching them dress up to stand in line.
Anytime there is the slightest critique on black men, even by other black men, too many of y’all go out your way to purposely miss the point and/or argue misread intentions.
I don’t mean to be negative but we need to see black men actively participating in their children’s lives and them treating their community, partner, and the non-sexual people in their lives right and as a positive image. We don’t need to see black men outside in suits.
See, y’all say this stupid shit without thought. Y’all only have this outlook for food or cleaning services. Shit y’all think is demeaning. CNA’s/PCT>health service workers have career jobs and still don’t make livable wages.
@feelmyhelpcomin When I see non black folk gathered around some solo dancer and they all do that cheer at a ‘sick’ move, I get perturbed because what was that? Y’all don’t know what the hell y’all cheering for.
The most surprising thing about New York flooding is the fact that they still proceeding like business as usual. Shit is crazy. They wading in waist high water to get to wherever with no hesitation.
The “positive” here is the aesthetics. But the rhetoric becomes in order to have a positive effect on something I.e. community, you must look a certain way, and as pointed out, that’s rooted in yt supremacy. Also, what does their organization do for the community? …
Because you would feel some type of way about the stigma involved with a homeless person touching your food, yet you don’t think service workers deserve basic necessities…
BW are the only women ever told to compromise. Every group and subset of ethnicities want us to be work horses in silence and submission. I teach my daughters to #speakup and #speakout and carry protection cause the world is jealous and envious towards us.
@CindyBegel Not gone lie, I watched this movie last year for the first time because it was so iconic. But while watching it I realized it was just another movie about a sex fiend for people who just like entertainment. For connoisseurs, it was artsy sadism.
