@SamRaincock We had one and my mother always said it was for thickening cream. It had a solid glass base and the top half was red incorporating the plunger and a handle which was a sort of swan neck shape. It was never used!

Teddington RNLI Lifeboat station boasts 20 fathers among its crew. Their sons & daughters today pay tribute to their dads calling them all ‘heroes’ - often hearing the door close in the middle of the night or seeing their dads leave the dinner table as they go to help others.
12 members of Teddington RNLI Lifeboat Station crew joined Hampton Canoe Club for water safety training this week. The focus was on the special skills needed for rescues from canoes and kayaks. The voluntary crew training takes place annually. #rnli_teddington#FloatToLive
