Stop saying it out loud.

Your wife DOES NOT want to be made to feel that she married down.

She wants a man that she can look up to and respect.

She wants to feel like she married up.
Like she was blessed with an incredible, godly, honorable man.

And if she did in fact “marry down,” you need to be working your behind off becoming the kind of godly, respectable man that makes her feel like she hit the jackpot with you.

Great men are often forged because they “married up,” and then realized that their wife was more godly, harder working, and more industrious than they were.

They then took hold of their calling as the head of their household and worked really hard to be the kind of man that makes it easy for his wife to respect and submit to.

So please stop insulting your wife by telling her that she got suckered into marrying down.

@micahcjames I’d definitely convey that you are looking/would like support to a trusted woman/women in your church that are married. They’d try to help connect you to people in or outside of your church (but have shared values). Be involved in activities with people your age range!
