Imagine not fucking with NFTs cause you don’t wanna feel “late” to something and because you think they’re bad for the environment because you’re addicted to making life choices based of liberal media
@jmargonie Say you have a handful of these nfts, now it’s becomes a digital representation of you and your “vibe” and something that you want to show off. In the same way people post screenshots of songs they like, or repost things to insta stories. because it’s an extension of who they r
@jmargonie someone samples a song that’s an nft, that info is automatically stored in the music file so you can see where every part of the song came from. And royalties are fully automatic with no discussion with any other party. Information can be embedded in a way it can’t be currently
@jmargonie Depends on what you’re referring to, PFP projects ? These are just based off hype, The same thing buying skins on fortnite provides. In digital art as a whole? Use in gaming, the metaverse, special access to digital or irl events etc etc etc
@jmargonie You have to understand the blockchain and how everything on it communicates with each other in a way the internet does not.
But What is “necessary” in this age that people give a shit about. Likes, clout, designer, brands, email, tiktoks?
@jmargonie Yeah but this isn’t like a part of the internet, it is the next internet. These corps didn’t invest in single pieces of art for a profit, the profit is nothing to their money. It’s because it’s the future and they’re tryna shoe they’re early to it
@jmargonie And even as “fake” fortnite brought in over 9 mil in the first two years off “fake items” that have even less use than if they were nfts. It’s gonna reach the point where nfts are just a part of games, you won’t even realize you’re using them
@jmargonie That’s because it’s so so so early for this space, like ancient. Plus as time goes on more and more celebs and banks are getting involved. Just in the last week, steph curry and visa bought some of the blue chip (flexable) NFTs. the market is growing so fast now
@jmargonie Because the markets that you buy and sell on work through the blockchain, it’s not possible to get something that’s not minted on them. And say you screenshot and mint yourself and post, it will be obvious because nfts have every piece of info stored in them, showing that
