This month the students at Community School are focusing on showing respect to their teachers, peers, and theirselves. These three students were awarded a certificate for showing respect last week! Great job 2J!
Today the engineers in 2J were challenged to build the tallest, free standing tower with 50 toothpicks, 1 cups of small marshmallows, and 8 large marshmallows! It was great to see all the different ideas brought to life!
Huge thank you to @patriotsubaru and @ReadWithMalcolm, who were kind enough to donate Malcolm’s new book, “My Very Favorite Book In the Whole Wide World” to EACH of our 2nd Grade Students in @Grade2Varr and @Grade2Jackson’s classrooms!
The geographers in 2J worked on identifying our 7 continents and 5 oceans! They also worked on using a compass rose to help answer questions about our world! 🌎
2J had a blast playing Guess My Monster. This week in writing, students secretly worked on creating a monster and wrote clues about their monster! Today, they read their writing aloud and their peers guessed their monster!
