@usersvik i mean i refuse to believe minear is that bad at character work; it's sort of a lazily plotted show in some ways but a professional writer is not going to be cinemasinsing his own show this incompetently. that's a random fan missing the forest for the trees.
@usersvik that would make no sense given the point was that we were supposed to notice everyone is ignoring Buck even though he looks like hell because that's LITERALLY WHAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING ALL SEASON, i refuse to believe that was 100% inadvertent.
@chrisisclueless what. you can want to do a part you vibe with without needing to tell a million strangers your sexuality. what even is this comment? it's mean and not very thoughtful. he was a teen.
@tomswrren@rjdowneyacvns I really liked the Librarian movies honestly. although they were tragically heterosexual, but at least he got his moments in the show.
@mrstinker01 @el_don_prospero@NoahGarfinkel sure, but the very premise: "What if Glinda and the WWOTW went to school together and the Wizard was there" cannot be based on the books at all. Glinda is the witch of the south, for one thing, and the reigns of the witches predate the wizard coming to Oz in the first place.
@el_don_prospero@NoahGarfinkel yeah, but every single thing I hear about Wicked is WILDLY incompatible with the novels, so I don't think Greg was working off book canon
One of the key elements of good character design is that you should be able to recognize them by their silhouette. George Lucas is a well designed character.
Not the 'Hamas-run health ministry', but 99 American physicians and nurses:
"It is likely that the death toll from this conflict is already greater than 118,908, an astonishing 5.4% of Gaza’s population."
"With only marginal exceptions, everyone in Gaza is sick, injured, or both. This includes every national aid worker, every international volunteer, and probably every Israeli hostage: every man, woman, and child."
"In Gaza we watched malnourished mothers feed their underweight newborns infant formula made with poisonous water. We can never forget that the world abandoned these innocent women and babies."
"Israel’s continued, repeated displacement of the malnourished and sick population of Gaza, half of whom are children, to areas without running water or even toilets available is absolutely shocking."

Studios are assembling superfan focus groups to assess various materials for a franchise project to avoid social media backlash.
“They will just tell us, ‘If you do that, fans are going to retaliate’ … If it’s early enough & the movie isn’t finished yet, we can make those kinds of changes.”

Hand-counting 5.5 million votes would require time and staffing that local jurisdictions do not have, and when the votes can’t be counted on time the Trumpers will claim the election defaulted.
It is election sabotage.
Israel’s pager attack in Lebanon detonated thousands of handheld devices across of a slew of public spaces, seriously injuring and killing innocent civilians.
This attack clearly and unequivocally violates international humanitarian law and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict.
Congress needs a full accounting of the attack, including an answer from the State Department as to whether any US assistance went into the development or deployment of this technology.
No, "post-birth abortions" aren't real. And the way the right lies about traumatic medical intervention is disgusting and exceptionally cruel.
This week for @MotherJones, I explain where this BS came from and how different the actual reality is:
He became Elvis. But can he become himself?

@BeevesMe They're called rec centers over here and we do have them, but they're run by cities so they aren't free (though subsidized, so fees are very low) and county residents pay extra in my area. They run various classes. The gyms may not be as kitted out as private ones.
