@DPearsonPHL Consider that if you want to grow SEPTA’s financial and political sustainability, while growing jobs and taxes in the city, maybe growing regional rail is a bigger opportunity, moving people both ways to/from employment. Is there as much growth potential in city services?
@RealSteveDegnan@NCAA Hard to take Pitino seriously. He was fine when it was just the coaches who could make tens of millions and break contracts and there was no money for the players! That attitude let to the litigation and ultimately the settlement that produced the current settlement.
@Terry_Gillen And as this successful company founder points out, the jobs would have been filled by residents in the suburbs and city. @septa funding for regular and reliable service is a regional job creation, retention, and growth issue, not just a city one. @ChamberPHL
@jongeeting Maybe center city is “small” because taxes strangle economic growth? Not sure it has anything to do with zoning when there are plenty of available sites to build high density, just not the demand.
