Key words, familiar moments, music - these little things can spark something and help stimulate the brain.
My mum has a sweetie drawer and a sweetie jar, so she was well stocked. We watched a movie, and she endured my singing 😂

and communicating.
You know your loved one better than anyone, so keep the conversation going. Even if they don’t respond, they are listening. And yes, those silent moments can hurt sometimes, but every now and then you’ll see them shine through.
We need more awareness and help when it comes to #alzheimers , not silence. This is part of the problem. The amount of good that’s been done has been disregarded. We know our mum better than anyone. This is becoming a crisis , there is no cure. Changes need to be made and fast.
@Pippisell @JennyJones1313 Yeah my sister was on the frontline and they had no equipment, nothing fitted totally overwhelmed. Really sad watching this knowing they turned up risking it all with little to no thanks whilst everyone else was making banana bread and given wrong advice to go into bubbles . Mad
