General Graziano is also, at the time, the EU Commander, and they were meeting across the street at the Saint Regis Hotel, and it was with Ignacio Moncada, who is the CEO of Fata, which is the fat SBA, which is a subsidiary of Leonardo, one of the largest defense contracting firms in the world. They are the largest in Italy, and they receive numerous United States military and intelligence contracts. That should frighten everybody right now. No, they were meeting in his hotel, and in March 2020 they were coordinating this plan. The Italian intelligence services actually provided me with a cell phone number for the go order, and it goes to General Graziano. So then you ask, well, they concoct the plan. They have to go get the IT guys. Who’s gonna do it? Well, they already had a guy. His name is Charles Robinson. He is a telemetry expert. He came in a week prior to the election of November 2020. He uploaded spike software, and he had traveled from Frankfurt.”

The U.S., Denmark and Greenland announced a new Arctic security agreement on September 18, 2026. The complete legal text has not yet been released, and the agreement is expected to be signed next week and still requires parliamentary procedures, so some details could change.

For the United States, the main potential benefits are substantial:

Permanent military access and basing rights. U.S. officials say the agreement guarantees permanent access, basing and overflight rights and permits an expanded American military presence. That could strengthen missile warning, missile defense, space surveillance and Arctic operations.
Blocking strategic rivals. The agreement is described as preventing non-NATO adversaries—including Russia and China—from establishing military bases in Greenland. The U.S. account also says Washington can block adversaries from making certain sensitive investments there.
A stronger North American northern defense perimeter. Greenland sits between North America, Europe and the Arctic approaches to Russia. The agreement effectively reinforces Greenland’s role in the defense of North America while building on the U.S. presence already centered on Pituffik Space Base.
More capability without acquiring Greenland. The United States apparently obtains much of the additional security access Washington had sought without purchasing or annexing the territory. Denmark and Greenland maintain that sovereignty and Greenlandic self-determination remain intact.
Potential NATO benefit. Denmark says the arrangement strengthens security in the Arctic and North Atlantic, and NATO has welcomed it as contributing to security and stability in the region.

There is an important qualification to the headlines. President Trump characterized the agreement as giving the United States “permanent control” over Greenland’s security, while Denmark and Greenland say explicitly that it does not transfer Greenland’s sovereignty to the United States. Those descriptions aren’t identical, and until the actual agreement is published, the precise limits of American authority—particularly regarding investments, bases and decision-making—remain unclear.

For Greenland and Denmark, the apparent tradeoff is also significant: they retain sovereignty and Greenland’s right to self-determination while gaining a larger U.S. commitment to defending the Arctic territory. Greenland’s prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, has said the agreement benefits Greenland’s security and continued development.
