@emayfarris Agreed. As someone who went up for Full 1 yr after an early P&T to Assoc, I was voted down by my “department” (which included 1 colleague; the rest were outside bc we only had 1 Full besides the Chair). My dean disagreed thankfully. The no votes were all bc of length of service.

@DrCJCarpenter We have been offering both in person and virtual options. And the last one I chaired we ended up hiring two, one who chose virtual and one who chose in person. For all in person we do have meals, and many are catered so we can social distance on campus.
