EQUITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS 2026-28
Dear Equity friends, your voting papers (with the Magazine) are arriving by post now and I need your vote! Please read my election statement and vote for me (General List). Many thanks, @GrahamHamilton, 15th Equity President and former Councillor.
🏳️🌈For the first time in its history, the organisers of Durham Pride have signed a brand new agreement with Equity, which sets minimum standards for pay, terms, and conditions for performers who work at Durham Pride.
Alongside an agreement with Manchester Pride, it is one of the first Pride agreements to be brokered by Equity.
It marks a huge moment for the event which is going ahead despite having 100% of its funding cut by Reform-led Durham County Council earlier this year.

Behind the magic of Christmas, you can nearly always find an Equity member at work.
