@RickKelsey@BBCNews Hi Rick. There is another anomaly. The TCR, Tariff Comparison Rate does not use the same 'average' heating consumption (13,000 kWh) than the Tariff Price Cap (12,000 kWh). Strange, since both are supposed to represent average consumption. Cynical making the price cap look lower?
Rely on more Wind Farms to increase renewable energy and decrease reliance on imports?? Clearly, this is fundamentally flawed. When there it little or no wind it doesn't matter how many wind turbines you have. What then?? Well just asked the Danish. Solution in next tweet.
Is Russia and it's allies the "King of the North" as spoken of in the Bible book of Daniel ch11 v 40-43 and who constitutes the "King of the South" that will engage with 'him' in a 'pushing'. https://t.co/2pY5g5rwA1
Money has to be clawed back somehow. However every govt since North sea gas should be ashamed at decades mis management and poor energy source planning. Norway sold 80% of their NSea gas to UK. They invested the income in hydro. Now they sell hydro-electricity to the UK via cable
1. Every domestic electricity bill payer in Eng, Wales, Scot will get £200 discount on one bill from October. This will be paid for by a £40 uplift on ever October bill for five years ie 2023, 24, 25, 26, 27. NI will get money to let it do the same.
I wonder if there are still any rational people who deny climate change as a fact. BTW, leaves are still on the deciduous trees round my way, what happened to Autumn???
Not surprised. I wouldn't touch it. Kingspan jumped on bandwagon using their name to promote HPs with very little knowledge and experience and at low cost with no longer term support structure. Good argument for regulation of some sort or TA member @HeatPumpAssoc@HPFederation
So for decades Norway sold c. 80% of their share of North Sea Natural Gas to the UK and invested the funds in Hydro electricity, which they are now selling to UK. Who has messed up Energy policy then ??

Interesting "new' government department mentioned at the bottom of this BBC Article.
"Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities".
If only they would "level up"!!

Has the Heat Pump industry failed to convince government that HPs can deliver?
What exactly is "low carbon" bydrogen? How is it produced and how much carbon emissions will it really save?
Finally a balanced article that gives pro's and con's and does NOT fall into the " well insulated home" trap! One of the best I've read. Well done Evening Standard @HeatPumpAssoc@EveningStandard
Please update the massively our of date building regulations. You're killing actual carbon reduction measures by artificially exaggerating the benefit of Solar PV and under representing the massive carbon reduction ability of Heat Pumps
Pity the Building Regulations are STILL 7 years behind with a value of 519 gCO2/kWhe when the average last year was c 200 and Easter saw 39g!!!! Penalising Heat Pumps and exaggerating solar PV!
