There's been some incredibly talented and amazing humans to hold their chair, I am honored to carry on that legacy.

Okay I'm so glad to see a silver colour scheme back in the CFL and these do look GORGEOUS.

But RIP PxP/PA Spotters all across the @CFL; those numbers in the sun are going to be a nightmare to read.

4) Hats off to everyone that put in countless hours to make Night at the Knothole happen. It was a really cool experience and felt like a tonne of fun for fans.

I'm really proud to have been a small part of it.

Some thoughts from Night at the Knothole:

1) The auto-run 35s play clock goes FAST. It wasn't the most explosive game, but it never felt slow or dragging. However, reverting back to the 20s referee blown in clock for the 3minute warning? Builds tension in a great way

3) CFL preseason really cooks when you're at alternate venues like Clarke, Starlight Field, Guelph, and Huskies Stadium.

It gives the games something a little extra and brings some more life into pre-season and makes the gate feel more special.

@buzzilinear Agreed! It's also really fair that there are too many teams making it with the league structured as is.

Could you rework it under a 1 division format to include an extra playoff game? I'd be curious because I think that's the next logical step

I feel like I am one of the few folks who's very okay with the playoff format change; so this is an open offer to any #CFL Pods or sports shows that want to have on a perspective who's a fan of the shift 🤷‍♂️

@JoshSmith_82 That's a fair point! Ultimately, it's still giving more opportunities for the playoff gate which is massive in an attendance driven league.

When you're a league trying to bring people in with a fantastic game day experience - how many people really know the teams' records?

Big agree. I think folks will be super grumpy until we get a huge high stakes classic of a game that hurls a bubble team into the playoffs.

Just gotta win 2/3 games to get to the GC now instead of 1/2

Love the new playoff format.
For those complaining 8/9 teams make the playoffs, the flip side is:

A) every game matters as teams battle down stretch to get in/seeding
B) can no longer advance to Grey Cup by winning only one playoff game
C) top teams can earn two playoff gates

@Smallfurryanim1 I think you're right on that one, but losing an extra game on top is really a non-starter.

Really this is a format that needs expansion to be as good as it could be IMO so you need to start looking at HFX and QC as quick as possible.

A bad team won't be able to fluke their way to a Grey Cup, with three chances to get knocked out by better squads, the best teams will still end up in the GC.

Completely agree. People focus on “8/9 teams” but miss the point. Every game matters more for seeding. You can’t luck into the Grey Cup with one win, and top teams actually get rewarded. Earn it.
