If the objective is genuinely to reduce “racism”, the state has options available to it: deport foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes, secure the border, end welfare incentives that attract economic migration, and make citizenship something earned rather than handed out automatically.
The anger seen in recent incidents did not emerge from nowhere. It is the predictable result of a government that refuses to address the consequences of its own policies while branding criticism as “racism” or “hate”.
You can dismiss concerns as racism for a while. You can smear, shame, and silence. But you cannot govern a country that way forever.
People can be pressured into silence. They cannot be argued out of what they see with their own eyes. 🇮🇪
