The Graham Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile.
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., 16-year-old Aaniya Brown-Marshall was reported missing. She was last seen in the area of McAden Street in Graham.
Aaniya is described as:
• 5’04” tall
• Approximately 120 pounds
• Black hair with a blonde ponytail
• Wearing glasses
She was last seen wearing:
• Red hoodie
• Blue jeans
• Gray backpack
• Carrying a blue Stanley cup

The GPD needs help identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian. On Feb. 8, 2026, around 6:360a.m., officers responded to E. Harden St. and Woody Dr. and found a 31-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
The Graham Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in the Dec. 24 Cook Out shooting in Graham.
Shyheim D. Jones, 31, was taken into custody following a joint investigation with regional, state, and federal partners.

Last night, officers responded to a shooting at 400 Poplar Street. Sadly, 34-year-old
Thomas Jeffries Jr. later died from his injuries. The suspect, James Thomas Daye, 59, was

Yesterday, the GPD responded to a vehicle larceny in the 300 block of South Main St. The suspect, identified as Dustin Wayne Cook was involved in the theft of a 2009 silver Toyota Tacoma extended cab from the parking lot of Tarheel Drug.
We want to make the public aware that a telephone pole has fallen over on W Harden Street between N. Maple St and Oneida St. It is completely across the road at this time, the road is closed. Please be cautious and drive safely.
As a result, Harris has been charged with fleeing, carrying a concealed gun, and various drug charges. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.
The safety of our community is our top priority, and we remain committed to keeping Graham safe.

📷 Arrest Made Following Pursuit in Graham 📷
Officers with the Graham Police Department attempted to stop a silver Corolla on Washington St for reckless driving. The driver, identified as Lapadre Harris, refused to pull over and led officers on a pursuit towards downtown Graham.
The pursuit concluded on Pravas Ln, where officers successfully apprehended Harris. During the arrest, a pistol was found concealed in Harris's pants, and an AK47 was located in the vehicle.
In addition to the firearms, officers seized 8.4 grams of marijuana from the car.
In approximately 2 weeks, road improvements on Truby Dr at Jimmy Kerr Rd will begin. This project involves road widening and the addition of turn lanes to enhance traffic flow and safety in our community.
The project should be completed in roughly 6 weeks
